Marietta Vs Northview 100 wins for Coach Friday

Last night I travelled to Northview High School with some of my closest Blue Devil friends. Chuck Houston was generous enough to take us in his motor home. Once we got to the game we set up the tables and feasted on some wonderful homemade recipe's including fried chicken, peach cobbler topped off with ice cream. I look forward to the next away game !! I want to congratulate Coach Friday Richards on his 100Th win. It was a Great game!! Coach Friday is closing in on becoming the winningest coach at Marietta and in the State of Georgia. Here are a couple of short videos taken at the game.

A little Progress

The labor day weekend was for sure all about labor except for Saturday morning when I had breakfast with a friend and strolled the Farmers Market & and Art in the Park. I have spent the last three days at my new house on McCord St. painting. I also worked on controlling water from the gutters by adding some piping trying to direct water away from the house. I love my new house but have moments thinking I have bit off more than I can handle. Here is a short video I created today with some of my latest work.

Marietta High School Class Reunion 67-69

This weekend I had the pleasure of being the photographer at the Marietta High School class of 67, 68 & 69 reunion. A tremendous amount of work was put into this event and what a great job the committee did. Here are a few pictures from the night.

My Summer

I have had a very busy summer mainly due to the fact I have bought a new (older) home at 204 Mccord St in Marietta. It has been quite a job so far and I have a long way to go but it will be a fantastic place to live when I get finished. The Real Estate Market has been pretty rough but is showing signs of improvement. I need to get my current home SOLD to where I can get the remodelling started at the Mccord House. No vacations for me but I did make one short visit to see my Mom at St. Simons a month ago. I have shot a couple of weddings this summer and have a few more this fall. Between keeping busy maintaining my house in showing condition and working at the Mccord house I have had time to squeeze in a garden this year with the help of my gardening partner Jerry Howell. It may very well be the highest producing garden I have ever had. Football season is right around the corner and I look forward to being at all of the Marietta games on Friday night. Picture day is coming up this Friday and I am excited about spending the afternoon with my Blue Devil friends.

Marietta Kiwanis Milestone

Today the perfect attendance awards were given out at the Marietta Kiwanis Club. My good friend Bill Kinney received his 56 year perfect attendance pin. But not to be outdone was my uncle Davis Walker who has had perfect attendance for 57 years. The club gave them a much deserved standing ovation. That is a lot of years of service in our community. Congratulations Bill and Davis.

The lovely Pat Huey who runs the club gave out the awards.

Blue Devils Basketball

Last night I went to the Marietta girls and boys basketball game's as they hosted McEachern. The Marietta girls lost by a close margin and the boys defeated McEachern. I have posted all photos of the game to my website.
